Donation Refund Policy

We believe in complete transparency with our donors. Please read our refund policy carefully before making a donation.

Sevartham Alliance Trust is committed to the highest standards of financial integrity. We understand that donors place deep trust in us and we honour that trust with transparent, fair, and prompt refund processes.

1. General Policy

All donations made to Sevartham Alliance Trust are voluntary contributions towards our charitable programs. As a general principle, donations are non-refundable once they have been received and acknowledged, as they are immediately allocated towards our ongoing programs and beneficiaries.

2. Eligible Refund Situations

Refunds will be considered and processed in the following circumstances:

a) Duplicate Transactions: If a donor has been charged more than once for the same transaction due to a technical error, the duplicate amount will be refunded in full.

b) Incorrect Amount: If an incorrect amount was charged due to a website or payment gateway error, the difference will be refunded.

c) Technical Failures: If a payment was deducted from the donor's account but the transaction was not acknowledged or recorded on our end due to a technical failure, the full amount will be refunded.

d) Fraudulent Transactions: If a donation was made fraudulently without the account holder's knowledge or consent, we will cooperate fully with the account holder and their bank to resolve the matter.

3. Refund Process & Timeline

Please provide your full name, transaction/payment ID, amount, date of transaction, and the reason for your refund request. Once we verify the details, eligible refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days to the original payment source.

4. Non-Refundable Situations

Donations will not be refunded in the following situations:

• Change of mind after the donation has been processed
• Requests made after 7 days of the transaction date
• Donations made in memory of or in honour of another person
• Donations linked to fundraising campaigns once the campaign has concluded

5. 80G Tax Certificates

If you have received an 80G tax exemption certificate for a donation and a refund is subsequently processed, the certificate will be considered void. Sevartham Alliance Trust will inform the relevant tax authorities as required by law.
